About Us

The Magical Mystery Tour (MMT) was formed on March 27th, 2020. Originally just a WhatsApp Group, the idea was simply to share online AA meeting information between three ex-drunks who wanted to attend meetings together.

At the time ‘MMT’ was formed, cities around the world were in lock down and there were no in-person meetings to attend. Not to be defeated these three ex-drunks stumbled upon something indeed magical and could never have predicted what happened next.

Realising the sheer joy and fellowship of touring meetings globally and discussing their experiences as they travelled, it became immediately apparent that this same joy should not be kept between the three of them. This newfound fellowship had to be shared with other alcoholics and especially to newcomers who were finding it difficult to connect with other members of AA during this time. And so, the Magical Mystery Tour grew from three wide eyed travellers touring AA meetings around the world, to a family of over 130 members spread across the globe.

Since the early times when the group was formed the ‘tribe’ has grown and evolved. A new website was built to compliment the MMT Speaker meeting and help share AA resources to AA members. The speaker meeting was started and has helped many newcomers and fellows with many days’ sobriety alike. Now an official AA affiliated meeting it has widened MMT's reach helping bring some amazing speakers from around the world to a wider audience.

The Magical Mystery Tour is a beacon for the still suffering alcoholics and the recovering alcoholics, where we can all come together under one virtual roof and support each other through all of life's challenges. We are the Magical Mystery Tour and we want you to be part of our family.
